The Coalition for a Community Action Response Team is a group of citizens advocating for the implementation of a program that sends mental health and EMS professionals to certain calls for service instead of law enforcement.

These types of programs have seen success in other cities like Denver, CO and Eugene, OR. We want to bring that success to Kalamazoo. 

​

The Coalition will be reaching out to elected officials and organizations that have been identified as key to the program's success. 

 

This is no small project. It will require the cooperation of multiple municipalities, public safety agencies, and mental health organizations. We need as much help and support as possible. Please contact us if you are interested in helping us bring this program to Kalamazoo.
